Dance of Light

Is your nature to turn towards
and into a bright light of truth?
Do you sense its subtle caress
as it teases and plays
with your thoughts
and your most darkest
and hidden of feelings
as it invites you in
to explore?

Do you innocently allow
its captivating radiance
to gently warm your face
and illuminate your heart
as it transforms you inside out?

Or do you turn away from light
and its unrelenting truth?
Do you scuttle and hide in a corner
and peep out with frightened eyes
pointing a finger of blame
at a ghost behind the door?

And yin of light, sweet heliotrope,
how are you in relationship
with your nemesis, darkest of yang?
For as you turn to meet a light in you
it is your turn to radiate another

Do you stand true and firm
and unwavering in your gaze
as you shatter the not-truth before you?
or do you shatter in yourself
as you meet the darkest shadow
and with no place left to go
open as it merges and becomes
as truth and one with you?
